February 7, 2009Well, we weren't sure if we were going to have a 2009 RV-Dreams Rally, but it is now official.Come join us in Kerrville, Texas at the Buckhorn Lake Resort from October 7 - 11, 2009 for full-timing seminars, good fellowship, and lots of fun! Hope to see you there! :) January 3, 2009As of December 31, 2008, we have been on the road as Full-time RVers for three and a half years - 41 months to be exact. During that time we have kept track of every penny of expenses.So we thought it would be helpful to future full-timers to analyze our expenses and come up with averages during our entire time on the road. Three and a half years should give us some pretty good trends. Therefore, we have prepared Our 2005 - 2008 Full-time RVing Average Expenses page. That page gives us monthly averages, annualized averages, and compares expenses for months we workamped against months we didn't workamp and just traveled. December 31, 2008Our 2008 Actual Expenses page has been updated through December. That page also provides a summary for the year of our actual expenses compared to the 2008 Budget.Also, Our 2008 Business Summary page has been completed for the year. And it took me awhile, but I finally posted Our 2009 Budget August 23, 2008Today we set up two new pages.First, we have the RV Electrical Systems page. We knew nothing about our electrical systems when we bought our rig and went on the road in 2005. This page is an attempt to educate others based on what we've learned and what I've researched over the years. It starts with very basic information and gradually leads to more detailed, technical information on RV electrical systems. Hopefully, we've put all of it in an easy-to-understand format. Second, we added a page detailing Our Electrical System. This page starts from the time we ordered our fifth wheel and goes through the addition of solar panels three years later. The page provides details on modifications we have made, why we made them, and how much they cost. January 3, 2008Well, we got through another year. And the complete year of our financials for 2007 is now available.The following financial pages have been updated through December 2007: Our 2007 Actual Expenses and Our 2007 Business Summary. November 4, 2007Today we posted our 2008 Budget.It is based on our first two years of expenses and a moderate, but comfortable, lifestyle. We can do things cheaper and will if necessary, but for now, these are good numbers for us. June 22, 2007On this date we launched the RV-Dreams Chat Room.We felt that a live chat room helps round out the ability of the RV-Dreams Family to correspond and learn from each other. At some point we will do live online scheduled discussions on specific topics. The chat room will be a valuable addition in our goal to help and continue to educate our wonderful readers. We look forward to your participation!
